How it works
Queue. Play. Climb.
Five steps from the queue to the board, the same on the website and in Discord.
How a match works
- Solo or with your party
Queue up
Pick a mode. The search starts near your rating and widens the longer you wait.
- 90 seconds
Ready up
Match found? Accept within 90 seconds. If someone misses it, everyone who was ready goes back in line at their old spot.
- 5 min
Play
The match room has the map, the lobby details and a chat synced with Discord. Be in the game within 5 minutes.
- 20 min
Report
Either side reports the result and the other confirms it. No answer? It confirms itself after 20 minutes.
- 30 min
Climb
Ratings move the moment a result is confirmed. Think it's wrong? Post a screenshot or clip within 30 minutes and it gets checked.
Everyone starts at 0 in each mode. Beating stronger players earns more, and the same opponent again within a day counts for less. Read the rules →
Built to be fair
A rating only means something if nobody can buy it, farm it or argue their way into it.
- Both sides sign off
- A result only counts once the other side confirms it, or their time to answer runs out.
- Proof beats arguing
- Adult PC players stream every match, dispute screenshots get checked automatically, and moderators decide anything unclear. Every decision is logged.
- No farming
- The same opponent again within a day is worth less, and odd climbs and repeat pairings get flagged for review.
- No pay-to-win
- Membership adds badges and stats. It never touches matchmaking, ratings or prize eligibility.
Discord or web, same match
Queue here and accept in Discord, or the other way round. Match chat syncs both ways, alerts reach you in either place, and it all works on your phone.
FAQ
Is Lockd free?
Yes. Queues, ratings, leaderboards and prizes are free. Membership is optional and only adds cosmetic perks and extra stats.
Do I need Discord?
You log in with your Discord account, but every match can be played from this website. The Lockd Discord server adds match channels and alerts if you want them.
How do ratings and tiers work?
Everyone starts at 0 in each mode, and each mode has its own rating. Beat stronger players to gain more; lose to weaker ones and you drop more. Your tier follows your rating, from Bronze all the way up to Lockd.
What can I win?
Fortnite splits award physical prizes, such as gaming gear, to the top of each board every 30 days. Prizes are published before a split starts and never depend on how many people play.
Which platforms can I play on?
Fortnite puts every platform and input in one queue. PC players stream every Lockd match on Twitch, YouTube or Kick. Console players, and PC players aged 13 to 17, don't have to.
Is Lockd run by Epic Games?
No. Lockd is an independent community. It isn't sponsored, endorsed or administered by any game's publisher.
Anything else is in the rules and the privacy policy.
