What Lockd keeps, and for how long
This policy is a draft for the closed beta and will be reviewed before public launch.
What we collect
- Your Discord account ID, username, display name, and avatar, when you log in. While Lockd is in closed beta, logging in also checks that your Discord account is in the Lockd Discord server. If it isn't, nothing about you is saved.
- Your region and matchmaking settings (the platform you play on, and your input where a game asks for it), the age you've confirmed (including whether you've said you're 13 to 17), and your accent colour choice.
- The in-game names you add, such as an Epic name or Activision ID, so screenshots can be matched to you.
- Match records: who played, results, rating changes, and reports. Match chat too, including messages later edited or deleted in Discord and the names of files posted.
- Screenshots and clip links you post as match evidence.
- The social handles you add, the teams you join, your cup entries, and the XP you earn.
- Support chats: what you write to staff and what they write back.
- Staff actions on your account, such as cooldowns and bans, with the reason.
Why
To run matchmaking and leaderboards, settle disputes and appeals, investigate cheating and fraud, and award prizes fairly.
How long
- Dispute screenshots are downscaled and kept for 90 days after the dispute is decided, then deleted automatically. They can be held longer while a related ban or appeal is open. The image fingerprint, the check result, and the staff decision are kept.
- Match records and ratings are kept for season history.
- Match chat is kept with the match record, edits and deletions included, so staff can act on reports. When a match ends, its Discord channel moves to an archive. When the server runs short of room, the oldest archived channels are removed from Discord, but the chat stays in Lockd's records.
- Shipping details for prizes are deleted 30 days after delivery.
- Support chats are deleted 180 days after they close. Staff read them in a private Discord channel too, and that copy is removed three days after the chat closes.
- Team and cup records are kept for history, like match records.
Who sees it
Match results, ratings, and profiles are public, including your level, teams, trophies and any social handles you add. Your Discord name only shows on your profile if you turn that on. Match rooms and their chat are private to the players in the match and Lockd staff. In a match, the other players see links to the Twitch, YouTube or Kick channel of anyone who streams it, never anyone's age. Support chats are private to you and Lockd staff, and staff replies are signed "Lockd support". Evidence and moderation notes are only visible to Lockd staff. Screenshots may be sent to a screenshot-checking service that only processes them for that check. Information you give Lockd goes to Lockd, not to Epic Games, Activision, or any other game publisher. We never share data with betting or fantasy businesses.
Your choices
You can ask staff in the Lockd Discord server for a copy of your data or to delete it. Evidence tied to an open ban or appeal may be kept until it's closed.
